Swiss, Fleurier, case No. 3720. Made for the Chinese market, circa 1860. Very fine, silver, dead center-seconds pocket watch with duplex escapement and jumping quarter-second diablotine. Two-body, "Chinese", polished, spring-loaded back. Giltrimmed glazed cuvette hinged to the movement ring. White enamel, radial narrow Roman numerals, outer minute and seconds divisions with fi fteen-minute Arabic numerals, subsidiary dial for the quarter-second diablotine. Blued steel quatrefoil hands. 48 mm., gilt brass, fully engraved "Chinese" caliber, escapement jeweled, free-standing barrel, single wheel duplex escapement, three-arm steel balance with fl at rim and blued steel wings, fl at steel balance spring, index regulator. Case numbered. Diam. 56 mm.
