Fine, small and unusual, sterling silver wristwatch with single coaxial button flyback chronograph. Three-body, polished, snap-on caseback, revolving bezel, single button to reset the chronograph. Silver with painted Arabic numerals, subsidiary seconds, outer minute scale with fi ve-minute numerals, red inner scale for tachometer scale. Blued steel feuille hands. Rhodium-plated, 17 jewels, straightline lever escapement, monometallic balance, blued steel fl at balance spring, index regulator. Dial, case and movement signed . Diam. 28 mm. Thickness 10 mm. Notes James Schulz set up his workshop in 1924 to produce and sell high grade wristwatches at a time where pocket watches were much more popular. He wanted to produce and sell pieces that were of the highest quality possible to compete with the best makers of the time such as Patek Philippe and Audemars. His movements were made in Switzerland (some of his highest complications were made by Les Fils de Victorin Piguet) and these 2 examples are rare sightings in the collectable world of wristwatches and in almost new condition.
