ROLEX REF. 1491 PRINCE BRANCARD 18K YELLOW GOLD, RED CHRONOMETER Rolex Prince Brancard, No. 28812, Ref. 1491. Made in 1930. Very fine and rare, rectangular curved, flared, 18K yellow gold wristwatch. Two-body, fl ared, polished and brushed, inclined bezel, stepped sides, recessed winding crown, snap-on case back. Silver with painted Arabic, subsidiary seconds dial. Blued steel baton hand. Notes With a reference number of a Prince Jumping hour, it is more than likely that at some point the dial and movement were changed to a regular Prince reference. Purchased from the consignor from the family of the original owner, it is more than likely that the red cross hair was added almost imediately at the time to facilitate the reading of the quarters.
