Three-body, polished, the back set with a photographic portrait within a gold frame, front with small glazed aperture for the shuttered dial, revealing the 24-hour dial by pressing the button in the crown. Roman dial : bisected silvered satine engine-turned, radial Roman numerals, outer minute divisions. 24-hour dial : silvered satine engine-turned, radial Arabic numerals from 13-24. Blued steel poire hands. 16 ½ ‘', rhodium-plated, fausses côtes decoration, 18 jewels, straight-line lever escapement, cut bimetallic compensation balance with 8 adjustments, blued steel fl at balance spring, index regulator. Instead of the more usual gold shutters covering the dial, the dial itself is bisected to form the shutters, when the button in the crown is depressed the dial opens to reveal a further matching dial with 24-hour numerals
