Very fine and rare, large, square curved, water-resistant, palladium skeletonized wristwatch with an 18K white gold double deployant clasp. Accompanied by the original Cartier fitted box, loup, certificates and booklet. C. Three-body, solid, polished and brushed, bezel and transparent case back with 8 screws, protected winding crown set with a faceted sapphire, sapphire crystals D. The movement plates skeletonized in the shape of radial Roman numerals. Blued steel sword hands. M. Cal. 9611, rhodium-plated skeletonized bridges in the shape of Roman numerals, 20 jewels, straight line lever escapement, monometallic balance, shock absorber, self-compensating flat balance spring. Case and movement signed. DIAM 41 mm. THICKNESS 11 mm. Notes Palladium is a rare and lustrous silvery-white metal discovered in 1803 by William Hyde Wollaston and has the chemical symbol Pd. He named it after the asteroid Pallas. Palladium, along with rhodium, ruthenium and iridium is one of the platinum group of elements.
