Very fine and technically interesting, water-resistant, selfwinding, stainless steel wristwatch with round button chronograph capable of registering 1/10th second increments, registers, date, and a stainless steel Zenith buckle. Accompanied by the original Zenith fitted box, warranty (now void) and instruction manual. Two-body, polished and brushed, inclined bezel, lapidated lugs, transparent case back with 4 screws, sapphire crystals. Silver satine, applied steel and black baton indexes with luminous accents, outer scale indicating seconds divided into 1/10th increments, tricolor subsidiary dials for seconds, 60 seconds chronograph register and 60 minutes register, aperture for the date at 6. Steel luminous baton hands Cal. 4052 B, rhodium-plated, 31 jewels, patented stop-work, straight-line lever escapement, monometallic balance vibrating at 36,000 VpH, shock absorber, self-compensating flat balance spring. Notes The Zenith El Primero Striking 10th was launched at Basle in 2010 and is the world’s first automatic chronograph to beat at a rate of 10 vibrations per second.
