PATEK PHILIPPE REF. 1463 CHRONOGRAPH YELLOW GOLD Patek Philippe, Genève, No.863346, case No. 635854, Ref. 1463. Made in 1943, sold on June 28th, 1945. Extremely fine and rare, early period, water-resistant, 18K yellow gold wristwatch with round button chronograph, register and tachometer. Accompanied by the Extract from the Archives C. Two-body, solid, polished, screw-down case back, stepped inclined bezel, anti-magnetic dust cap, concave lugs. D. Brushed silver with applied yellow gold baton indexes, Arabic 6 and 12, outer minute/ seconds and 1/5th seconds divisions, subsidiary dials for the seconds and 30-minute register, outermost tachometer scale graduated to 1000 UPH. Yellow gold feuille hands. M. Cal. 13’’’, rhodium-plated, stamped with the Seal of Geneva Quality Mark, fausses cotes decoration, 23 jewels, straight line lever escapement, monometallic compensation balance with eight adjustments, self-compensating steel Breguet balance spring, micrometer regulator. Dial, case and movement signed. DIAM. 35 mm. THICKNESS 13 mm Notes The reference 1463 was launched in 1940. The Extract from the Archives confirms that the present watch was made in 1943 and subsequently sold on 28th June 1945 making this watch one of the earlier examples of this reference which continued in production until 1965.
