Four rock crystal columns with lapis and black onyx bases and capitals highlighted with diamond bands, stepped entablature composed of lapis, black onyx and silver-gilt, hinged sloping octagonal top set with alternating panels of lapis and onyx and diamonds around the edge, cabochon lapis finial with diamond border, opening to revel the hand-setting knob, stepped base to match the entablature, the clock composed of massive faceted octagonal rock crystals within an octagonal frame suspended within the portico D. Lapis lazuli and black onyx with circular hour indexes and Art Deco silver-gilt and diamond- set quarter-hour indexes. Silver-gilt and diamond-set hands. M.
