Accompanied by a fitted outer wooden box with leather strap and ratchet key. C. Three-body, with brass handles, all the edges and corners protected by heavy brass inlay, the glazed upper section with hinged lid locked by a catch. Brass bowl and gimbaled suspension, ratchet key in its socket in back right corner. D. Silvered with upright Arabic numerals, outer minute ring, subsidiary seconds and up-and-down scale. Blackened steel "spade" hands. M. Nickel, "fausses-côtes" decoration, full plate with baluster pillars secured by screws, 14 jewels, fusee with chain and maintaining power, spring detent escapement, two-arm patented ovalizing Volet balance with Invar arm and steel rim, free-sprung Elinvar Extra polished helical balance spring with terminal curves.
