Southeast Asian, likely late 18th/ early 19th century. A gilt bronze sculpture depicting Buddha Shakyamuni in a seated position with right hand extended down to knee with palm upturned and holding a small token between thumb and forefinger, and left palm turned upward in lap holding a precious object. The Buddha is adorned with green and red colored stones, possibly Turquoise and Carnelian, forming elaborate robes that drape over the figure's back, the Buddha facing forward and having elongated earlobes and black beaded hair finished to a point atop head. Inlaid silver floral mark to underside of sculpture, and a seven character mark to verso of sculpture, possibly in the Talil language. Approximately 8" x 5.25" x 3.5".
