Very fine and elegant, water-resistant, self-winding, 18K white gold and makie (traditional Japanese art of lacquering) wristwatch with Chopard 18K white gold buckle. Accompanied by the original urushi (lacquerware) & signed wooden box, and lacquerware instruction. Three-body, polished, inclined bezel, concave lugs, transparent back with 8 screws, sapphire crystals. The theme “Water” - lacquered in gold showing one black and four red goldfish are elegantly swimming. Mother of pearl dots sprinkled. White gold dauphine hands. Cal. 96HM, rhodium-plated, fausses cotes decoration, 29 jewels, straight-line lever escapement, monometallic balance adjusted to heat, cold, isochronism and 5 positions, shock absorber, self compensating flat balance spring, 22K gold micro-rotor. Case and movement signed. Diam. 39.5 mm. Thickness 7.5 mm. Notes Yamada Heiando opened its first lacquerwware boutique in 1919. They provide tablewares to the Japanese Imperial Household.
