Fine, gold-plated and lapis lazuli, 8-day going, hour and half-hour striking, repeating carriage clock with day-date calendar, alarm, moon phases and lunar calendar. Accompanied by a fitted L'Epée box and key. Gold plated, polished, stepped base and top, turned finials, pillars with four lapis lazuli inserts on each, glazed sides and back door, the top glazed to view the escapement, hinged carrying handle. White enamel with radial Roman numerals, outer minute divisions, Arabic five-minute numerals, alarm setting, date and days of the week dials below, aperture for the moon phases with lunar calendar on the periphery. Blued steel Breguet hands. Rectangular, gilt brass, four pillars, going barrels for both trains, 11 jewels, straight-line platform lever escapement, monometallic balance, self-compensating flat balance spring, index regulator, striking and repeating on a gong, separate alarm train with further hammer.
