Chinese, likely Shang (Yin) Dynasty (1600-1046 BC). A bronze tripod ding, used for cooking, storage, and ritual offerings to the gods or to ancestors, the vessel on three raised cylindrical feet with bands of archaic decoration on tondo below two facing squared loop form handles. Approximately 8 5/8" tall x 7" handle to handle.
