SINGING BIRD BOX Attributed to Griesbaum, case punch-signed EB. Made circa 1950. Fine, gilt metal and painted on enamel singing bird box. Accompanied by a key. Two-body, rectangular bombé, engraved with repeated patterns, the top overlaid with royal blue enamel painted with flower sprays, outer engraved scroll border inlaid with black enamel, bird cover decorated with a painted on enamel rural scene of two ladies and a gentleman in a landscape. Rectangular brass, going barrel and rectangular bellows, the revolving bird with moving wings, tail and beak, controlled by two cams mounted beneath the barrel wheel, gilt brass grill pierced and engraved with foliage.
