Xora, Swiss, made for the Chinese Market, circa 1890. Fine 18K gold and enamel, hunting cased, pearl-set, keyless minute repeating watch with chronograph. Four body, "bassine et filets " with split pearl set bezels, the cover panel of blue flinque enamel, painted with a portrait of a maiden, the tiara inlaid with rose cut diamonds, the blue flinque enamel back panel painted with the portraint of another maiden. Hinged gold cuvette. White enamel with Roman numerals, outer Arabic minute and chronograph rings, sunk subsidiary seconds. Blued steel "spade " hands.
