Omega, 1930's. Fine and unusual, rectangular, water-resistant, stainless steel "Staybrite" gentleman's wristwatch covered with an extra protecting bezel. three body, polished, satire, stepped bezel, mobile lugs, lentelle crystal. matted silver with painted Arabic numerals, auxiliary seconds dial. "Alpha" gold hands. 7 1/4- tonneau, rhodium plated, 15 jewels, lever escapement, monometallic balance, selfcompensating Breguet balance-spring. Dial, case and movement signed. Dim. 23 x 38 mm. Notes This watch follows the technical principle of the "Armure " model, launched by Omega in 1929, though a little different. The back of the case comprises a groove in which the watch fits, and the extra stepped bezel comes on top of the case and crystal; that allows the watch to be water-resistant and super-shock-absorbant, the top bezel being a real armour for the watch.
