In 1927, the Mido Factory, launched this watch model on the Market, proposing to the various Automobile Clubs to stamp their logo, the brand of their vehicles and their monograms, in one or more colours, on their Mido driver's watch, against payment of a slightly higher price. The Bugatti car manufacture took advantage of this novelty, and very soon in automobile circles, this model became known as The Bugatti watch. Current research indicates that the original Bugatti radiator model wristwatch was produced in three small series during the 1920's. A dozen or so watches are currently known to have survived in total from all the series, with most of these having belonged to people closely associated with Bugatti. Eight of the known surviving examples belonged to the following : - Ettore Bugatti - Jean
