Swiss, made for the Indian Market, circa 1900. Fine 18K gold, hunting cased, diamond set keyless automaton minute repeating watch. Four body, massive, "bassine et filets ",engineturned and engraved with scrolling foliage, the cover centred with a rose-cut diamond inlaid rosette. Hinged gold cuvette, polished. White enamel chapter ring with Roman numerals, the centre with polychrome enamel painted automaton blacksmiths, forging on the anvil. Blued steel "spade" hands.
