J. Archambo, London, No. 506, circa 1750. Fine and rare 20K gold mounted bloodstone covered, diamond and ruby set watch. Double body, Louis XV, bezel and back covered with bloodstone plaques, within old-cut diamonds and ruby set gold mountings. Unusual early white enamel dial with pink radial Arabic numerals and outer minute ring. Gold Louis XV hands. Hinged gilt brass full plate with square baluster pillars, fusee with chain, verge escapement, plain brass three-arm balance, flat balance spring, gilt brass English cock. Signed on the dial and back plate. Diam. 41 mm.
