Very fine and rare rectangular curved, asymmetric, centre second,18K yellow gold gentleman 's wristwatch with leather strap and 18K yellow gold Rolex buckle. two body, shaped, massive, polished, satined, bearing an escutcheon in the front. black with applied gold triangular and square indexes. "Dauphine" gold hands. Notes Prince Aerodynamic This asymmetric Rolex Prince wristwatch bears an escutcheon in relief for the eventual engraving of a monogramm at the bottom of the dial, where the small seconds would have been. By looking at the watch in profile, one can notice that the thickness of the top and of the bottom of the case is different. The present model of watch was never made in stainless steel and is called aerodynamic, as mentioned in advertisements of 1940. It was presented at the Swiss National Exhibition in Zurich in 1939.
