French, circa 1890. Fine and unusual Argentan silvered keyless watch. Double body, bezel and band with floral decoration, the back decorated with an allegorical scene depicting Victor Hugo accompanied by his muse. Hinged plain Anti Magnétique gun metal cuvette. White enamel with Roman numerals on blue flinqué enamelled cartouches, outer Arabic minute ring and subsidiary seconds. Blued steel "pear" hands.
