Swiss, circa 1900. "Penance in the Sacristy"Very fine niello silver hunting cased keyless Art Deco watch with erotic automaton scene. Four body, massive, "demi-bassine", the cover decorated with a maiden seating among foliage, with subsidiary gold engraved inlaid foliage decoration, the back decorated with Chinese maidens playing music. Hinged silver cuvette disclosing the silvered and gilt automaton scene. White enamel with cubic Arabic numerals and sunk subsidiary seconds. Blued steel "spade" hands. Notes The niello decoration of the case, with gold inlaid engraved leaves is of Superior quality than in most watches of this type.
