Vienna, circa 1830. Very fine 18K gold and enamel, pearl-set pendant watch designed as a lyre, with visible balance, suspended from an matching pin by a matching chain. Double body, designed as a lyre, the scarlet sound board flanked by blue enamel branches with paillonné decoration, the sound hole with split-pearl set bezel reveals the visible balance cock, gold wire strings. Scarlet flinqué enamelled branches on the back, decorated en suite, the centre with a painted score and a lyre over a blue ground. White enamel with Roman numerals. Blued steel Breguet hands. Hinged gilt brass full plate with conical pillars, fusee with chain, plain brass three-am balance, flat balance spring, gilt brass continental cock.Dim. 105 x 32 mm., including the chain and the pin.
