Baillon à Paris, circa 1775. Fine small 20K gold and enamel, diamond-set watch. Double body, Louis XVI, the rose-cut diamond-set bezel engraved with rocaille decoration, the enamel back painted with a scene, depicting a maiden playing with a bird. White enamel with Roman numerals and outer Arabic minute ring. Rose cut diamond-set Louis XV hands. Hinged gilt brass full plate with conical pillars, fusee with chain, verge escapement, plain brass three-arm balance, flat balance spring. Gilt brass continental cock with polished steel end-piece.Signed on the back plate.Diam. 32 mm.
