Notes Chronomètre RoyalThe trademark for the Chronomètre Royal was registered in 1907.This series of watches was especially made for the South American Market (especially Argentina). Generally, their movements were of high quality, from 11''' to 22''', 18 jewels, with a gold screwed setting on the central wheel, an endstone for the escapement wheel and a sapphire endstone for the balance-wheel. They bore a Breguet balance spring, swan-neck micrometer regulator. The cases were made in different sizes, shapes, thicknesses, decorations, in 18K yellow gold or silver. The dials were iwhite enamel or guilloché silver, in 12 and 24 hours, with Roman or Arabic numerals. As for the wristwatches, they were made from the 1950's, for various markets, in 18K gold, with centre-second, punched with the Poinçons de Genève. They bore a special stop-watch system when setting the seconds hand, 19 jewels, monometallic balance adjusted to temperatures, antishock system, Breguet balance-spring and swan-neck micrometer regulator.
