Three-piece, coin-edge with straight bezels and flat polished back. Three-tone silver, Roman numerals for III, VI, IX and XII, dots for the others on polished ring, outer minute ring on whitened ring, whitened center. Gold “Romaines” hands. 40 mm (17 3/4’’’), rhodium-plated, “fausses-côtes” decoration, 21 jewels, straight line lever escapement, cut bimetallic compensation balance, flat balance spring. Signed on dial, movement signed by European Watch Co, Inc. Diam. 48 mm. Notes There are many eight day clocks by Cartier, but only a few eight day watches are known, including wristwatches, of which no more than four are known.
