Swiss, made from an ebauche Ulysse Nardin,Calibre 871, No. 49662, circa 1915.Very fine 18K gold hunting-cased, keyless pocket chronometer with split-seconds chronograph and instantaneous 60-minute recorder. Four-body, massive, “bassine”, polished. Hinged gold cuvette. White enamel with bold Breguet numerals, outer Arabic minutes and chronograph ring, sunk subsidiary seconds and minutes register. Gold “spade” hands. 18’’’, rhodium plated, “fausses côtes” decoration, 26 jewels, straight line lever escapement, cut bimetallic balance, Breguet balance spring. Split-seconds chronograph with visible work, push pieces in the band.Diam. 51 mm. Notes The Ulysse Nardin ebauche serial number of the movement, Calibre 871 (confirmed by Ulysse Nardin) is punched beneath the dial on the front plate.
