Audemars Piguet & Cie, Brassus, Swiss, Royal Oak Quantième Perpétuel de Poche, Ref. 16, Nos. 22067 and 22047, part of a series of 20 pieces, completed on June 7, 1993, to celebrate the 20th anniversary of the Royal Oak.Very fine set of two octagonal keyless moon phase astronomical watches with perpetual calendar, one made of 18K pink gold, the other, skeletonised, in platinum, both with matching chains and presented in a luxurious mahogany and elm-burr casket and accompanied by original certificates. Three-piece octagonal with glazed back, the bezels secured by screws. Frosted silver on the pink gold one, with Roman numerals and sunk subsidiary dials for days of the week, months of the leap-year cycle, dates and seconds with inner moon phase aperture. Skeletonised on the platinum one with blued steel similar subsidiary dials. Blued steel “cathédrales” hands. 16’’’, rhodium plated, “fausses côtes” decoration on the pink gold one, fully skeletonised on the platinum one. 27 jewels, stright line lever escapement, monometallic balance with shock absorber suspension, adjusted to heat and cold isochronism and five positions, self compensating Breguet balance spring.Signed on dials, cases and movements.Diam. 50 mm.
