Swiss, circa 1840. Fine 18K gold extra slim watch, Bagnolet calibre with visible balance, accompanied by a matching key. Three-body, “bassine pincée”, engine-turned and engraved with foliage and floral decoration. White enamel eccentric with Roman numerals, circular balance aperture. 17 1/2’’’, gilt brass, eight jewels, Bagnolet inverted calibre with the free standing barrel and the train of wheel sunk in the single plate engraved on the reverse with a floral decoration. Cylinder escapement, visible plain brass five-arm balance, flat balance spring with regulator. Female winding squares.Diam. 44 mm.
