Vauchez à Paris, circa 1785. Fine 18K gold and enamel, pearl-set watch. Double-body, Louis XVI with concealed hinge and purple flinqué enamelled back, the bezels with blue and opalescent enamelled decoration and the band set with seed pearls. White enamel with Roman numerals and outer Arabic minutes ring. Later gilt brass Breguet hands. Hinged gilt brass full plate with cylindrical pillars, fusee with chain, verge escapement, plain brass three-arm balance, flat balance spring, gilt brass continental cock with polished steel end-piece.Signed on the dial and back plate.Diam. 32 mm.
