Swiss, made for the British Market, circa 1880. Fine 18K gold hunting cased, keyless minute repeating watch. Four-body, massive, “bassine et filets”, polished. Hinged gold cuvette. White enamel with Roman numerals and sunk subsidiary seconds. Blued steel “spade” hands. 17’’’, frosted and gilt, three-quarter plate, 18 jewels in screwed bearings, pointed tooth lateral platform escapement, cut bimetallic balance, Breguet balance spring. Repeating on gongs with slide in the band.Diam. 53 mm.
