Three-piece, massive, “bassine et filets”, polished, the screwed back with milled border engraved with the Navy Registration Number. Double-body mahogany deck box, the brass bowl with glazed screwed bezel. White enamel with Roman numerals and outer Arabic minutes and seconds ring. Blued steel “spade” hands. 22’’’, frosted and gilt,21 jewels, straight line lever escapement, brass-invar Guillaume balance, blued steel balance spring with terminal curve and micrometric index.Signed on the dial, case and movement.Diam. 56 mm. Notes Such deck watches were usually designed to be used in their mahogany box and were therefore fitted with a bezel without glass. This watch is one of the few examples which could also be used out of its deck box.
