Hubert Sarton à Liège, circa 1790. Fine 18K gold and enamel, quarter repeating, calendar watch. Double body Directoire, the bezel with white champlevé and paillonné decoration, the back enamel panel with a fine allegory of Love, painted over a blue ground. White enamel with Arabic numerals and inner date ring. Gold skeletonised hands. Hinged gilt brass full plate with cylindrical pillars, fusee with chain, cylinder escapement, plain brass three-arm balance, flat balance spring, gilt brass continental cock with ruby end-stone. Repeating on a bell by depressing the pendant. Gilt bras dust cap.Signed on the dial, back plate and dust cap.Diam. 54 mm.
