Swiss, circa 1890. Fine and unusual eight-day going bronze, Italian onyx and crystal keyless table timepiece. Designed as an extra large crystal ball watch, supported by a bronze eagle standing on an Italian onyx base. Frosted and gilt with Roman numerals. Blued steel “roman simple” hands. 32’’’, frosted and gilt, three-quarter plate, 15 jewels, straight line lever escapement, cut bimetallic balance, Breguet balance spring.Dim. 43 x 19 x 19 cm.
