Swiss, No. 59480, circa 1880.Very fine 18K gold and enamel, keyless, hunting-cased pendant form watch, shaped as a coat-of-arms. Four-body, the spring-loaded cover with an oval medallion for a miniature revealed by releasing the cover, outside very dark translucent blue enamel, almost opaque, superimposed by a geometrical pattern of rose-cut, pave diamonds, centered by a pearl and surrounded by a repeating geometrical pattern with matching blue enamel, inside a compartment for a miniature, the back decorated by a floral ribbon in relief around the border, all mounted in an engraved shield frame with a hinged matching pndant centered by a pearl. Shaped, oval, 11x13’’’, gilded, cylinder escapement, monometallic brass balance, flat balance spring, 10 jewels, wolf-teeth winding gears.Dim. 38x72 mm.
