Inner: double-body, pierced, center with small engraved rosette, bezel pierced, swiveling pendant, loose ring. Fire-gilded, full-plate, verge escapement, plain three-arm brass balance, flat balance spring, continental cock pierced and chased in elaborate floral decoration, diamond endstone, repeaing and alarm trains with fixed engraved barrels, striking and alarm on bell.Signed on the movement.Diam. 123 mm. Notes Johann Heckel, Polish clockmaker working in Warsaw from circa 1745. A similar Heckel’s clock is in the collection of the Jagiellonian University, Kraków.
