Unsigned, probably Geneva, circa 1780. Extremely rare and very fine 18K gold rose-cut diamond-set ring watch,made for the English market, in original shagreen fitted box. Round, two-body, diamond-set bezel and prongs. 6’’’, circular, fire-gilded full plate with cylindrical pillars, fixed barrel with revolving arbor, cylinder escapement, gold balance, flat balance spring, continental cock pierced and engraved with foliage, index with the scale engraved concentrically to the balance staff directly on the plate. Diam. of the movement13.3 mm., weight of the movement 2.7 grams (including the dial).Dim. 16.8 mm.
