Produced circa 1920.Very fine, Art Deco, oval, gold-filled lady's wristwatch. three-body, solid, polished, wire lugs, cabochon sapphire-set winding-crown on the 12, identical decoration on the 6. "guilloché" and hammered gold with painted radial Roman numerals. "Bâton" blued steel hands. signed Agassiz, oval, rhodium-plated, "fausses-côtes" decoration, 17 jewels, straight line lever escapement, cut bimetallic balance, 5 adjustments, Breguet balance-spring.Dial and movement signed. Case numbered.Dim. 22 x 36 mm. Notes Audemars Piguet's "Star Wheel" watch is reminiscent of the 17th century "wandering hours" dial, with hours indicated within an aperture. The epicycloidal system was first employed by the Campani brothers of Rome, who used it in their nocturnal clocks during the second half of the 17th century.
