Smith", back cover with applied four gold horses on applied green gold pasture, reeded edges, vermicelli band. 14 size, nickel, 3/4 plate, damascened, 20 jewels, the top ones in gold settings, gold wheel train, straight line calibrated lever escaement, cut-bimetallic compensation balance with gold screws, blued steel Breguet balance spring, gold engraved pallet fork bridge, micrometric cam regulator, safety pinion. Engraved "Pat. Sept. 28. 80 Eng. Pat. No. 3224".Signed on the dial, case and movement.Diam. 52.8 mm. Notes Waltham split-seconds chronographs in such elaborate cases are very rare.
