Taking LeaveGeneva, case by Frères Oltramare, No. 2421, circa 1820, made for the Chinese market.Very fine 18K gold and enamel, pearl- and turquoise-set, quarter-repeating musical watch. Four-body, "Empire", the band, bezels, pendant and bow set with split pearls alternating with turquoise cabochons, the back enamel panel finely painted with a scene depicting two children taking leave of their father. Hinged gold cuvette with turquoise blue champlevé enameled foliage decoration. Gold, engine-turned, radial Roman numerals. Blued steel "serpent" hands.
