"Spade" blued steel, hands. 42 mm, frosted gilt, 15 jewels, Earnshaw-type spring detent escapement with cut-bimetallic compensation balance with gold screws, freesprung blued steel helical balance spring.Diam. 50 mm. Notes It is relatively rare to find a Swiss spring detent chronometer. Most Swiss chronometers employ a pivoted detent escapement, while most English chronometers employ a spring one.
