Accompanied by a fitted box. white and engraved platinum, the hours graduation on three rotating translucent sapphire discs, each with four painted black stylized hour indicators, on top, white sector indicating the 60 minutes in painted Arabic numerals and indexes, at the center, a rhodium-plated wheel with three arms, carrying the spring-loaded rotating star wheel sapphire discs. Notes A collector's set of 3 extraordinary Audemars Piguet watches. The "Star Wheel" Audemars Piguet's "Star Wheel" watch is reminiscent of the 17th century "wandering hours" dial, with hours indicated within an aperture. The epicycloidal system was first employed by the Campani brothers of Rome, who used it in their nocturnal clocks during the second half of the 17th century. Audemars Piguet started production of the "Star Wheel" model in 1991, only very few examples of the present set were produced.
