Produced in the 1950's.Fine tonneau-shaped, water-resistant, stainless steel gentleman's wristwatch with round button chronograph, registers, and triple date. two-body, polished and brushed, screw-down case back and crown, monogram on the back with the initials "A.J.S.". matte silver with applied steel faceted indexes, "guilloché" auxiliary dials for the seconds, the 12 hour and 30 minute registers, outer blue painted graduation for the days of the month, apertures for the days of the week and the months. "Alpha" radium-coated steel hands. Notes Chronograph antimagnetic with triple date.Produced from the mid 40's to the early 60's in few examples in 18K yellow or pink gold and very few in stainless steel, with different hands and dial design, and with 4 different references:- in the mid 40's : Ref. 4767- from 1948 to 1951: Ref. 5036- from 1951 to 1955 : Ref 6036, called by collectors the "Killy watch" (World ski champion in the 60's).This reference was produced in 170 examples in yellow gold, 144 examples in pink gold and very few in stainless steel.from 1958 to 1962 : Ref. 6236.Similar watches are published in " Rolex, Collecting Wristwatches", by Osvaldo Patrizzi, Guido Mondani Editore, Genova, 1998, pp. 369, 370, 371, 372 and 380.
