Pierre Jaquet Droz, London, circa 1780, made for the Chinese market. Very fine and rare 18K gold and enamel pearl- and ruby-set center-seconds watch with stop feature. Three-body, "Consular", back with gold paillons forming a peacock feather pattern against translucent dark blue enamel over circular engine-turning, split pearl- and ruby-set bezels, band engraved with repeated pattern, fixed cuvette. White enamel, radial Roman numerals, outer minute/seconds track with fifteen-minute Arabic markers. Gold filigree "lozenge" hands.
