The 8-Pointed StarHamilton & Co. , London & Calcutta, No. 3708 made for the Indian Market, hallmarked 1871.Fine and rare 18K gold and enamel, diamond-set convertible pocket watch. Six body, massive, "bassine et filets", chased with foliate, floral and geometrical decoration, the cover with an eight-pointed diamond-inlaid star over a blue enameled ground with vine-leaf decoration, the back with a blue champlevé enameled decoration in a Moresque pattern. The watch revolves inside the case, so that it can be used as an open-face or as a hunter. Gold cuvette. White enamel with Roman numerals, outer minute track, sunk subsidiary seconds. Gold "spade" hands.
