Three-body, massive, "Lucia", polished, hinged silver cuvette. Notes Caliber 48, designed by Lange for the Wehrmacht, was conceived so as to have a daily variation rate of less than 1 second. Its winding indicator was invented by Otto Lange and patented in Germany on Sept. 6, 1940, patent No 732162. The Wehrmacht's demand for these watches was such that the Lange factory had to employ outside watchmakers to finish them.Most of the caliber 48 watches have lateral banking utilizing lateral extension of the pallet fork. This watch has banking in the straight line of the escape wheel - balance.
