Cortebert, Swiss, No. 593157, case No. 1544182, circa 1928.Very fine and very rare 18K two-tone gold and enamel keyless Art Deco "chevalier" "Highest Quality" watch, destined, most likely, for Barcelona Exhibition of 1929. Three-piece, square with canted corners, white gold bezels, back cover in yellow gold with champlevé raised green, red, blue and black geometrical design with Egyptian accent, large yellow gold bow engraved in laurel leaves, smoothly extending from the band, yellow gold hinged stand for making it a desk clock. Silver, two-toned, following the shape of the case, applied white gold Breguet numerals over matted and whitened background, outer minute track, brushed square center, subsidiary seonds. White gold "cathedral" hands.
