Patek, Philippe & Cie. , Genève, No. 191246, case No. 600128, sold on October 10, 1925.Fine and very rare steel with gold trimmings, keyless pocket watch with original certificate, original bill of sale and original leather-covered fitted box. Four-body, "bassine", back, band and bezel in steel, hinges, lips, bow and crystal insert in gold, steel, hinged cuvette. White enamel, Arabic numerals, outer minute ring, subsidiary sunk seconds, blued steel, Breguet hands. Notes Patek Philippe watches in steel cases are rare and this appears to be one of the earliest examples. Later ones were almost always in stainless steel, and were called “Staybrite” by the company.
