Breguet No. 873, "Garde-Temps", circa 1840.Very fine and interesting slim 18K gold astronomical pocket chronometer with phases and age of the moon and special escapement. Three-body, "forme quatre baguettes", engine-turned, gold detachable cuvette. Silver, engine-turned with radial Roman numerals on a sanded chapter ring, sunk subsidiary seconds and moon phase aperture with its age on the border. Blued steel Breguet hands with unusual squared aperture inside the minute hand base for setting.
