Notes Ref. 1665The "Sea-Dweller 2000", launched in 1971 was the first water-resistant watch to bear a helium valve for the decompression time indication, it is guaranteed water-resistant down to 610m./2000ft. The first generation of this reference had no helium gas escape valve, which caused great inner pressure to bear upon the case when the diver rose to the surface. This problem was solved by Rolex and the COMEX engineers.
